St. Patricks Day Show

Traditional & popular Irish songs & raucous fiddle tunes. Celebrates the Irish in us all.

Earth Day Show

A fun, upbeat, energetic, and positive show celebrating nature, animals, the earth, and focusing on environmental issues.

Host Student Talent Show

Mark will organize all the acts, open the show, introduce the acts, provide & run sound & lights, stage manage, and tie the whole evening into a professional format.

Coffeehouse

An intimate performance of songs & stories on guitar, banjo, piano, fiddle, hammered dulcimer, and mountain dulcimer. Poignant, entertaining, and fun

Hammered Dulcimer Show

An instrumental program of music for the-centuries old Persian Santur, known in America as the Hammered Dulcimer.

America's Musical Traditions

A high energy, entertaining, educational, and fun introduction to traditional American “roots” music. Instruments include guitar, banjo, fiddle, hammered dulcimer, and spoons. The kids are involved in some fun way on every song.

Books that Sing (PARP)

"Books That Sing" is a fun literacy program introducing students to an assortment of books, along with interactive songs on a variety of instruments related to those books, authors, and themes.

Field Day

A variety of fun programs & activities for the whole school (see “Activites” below).

Family Concert

The entire family will join in some fun sing-alongs, learn how to play the spoons, then get up and dance together as a family to great fiddle tunes.

Class Workshops & Activities

Instrument Experience

Mark briefly demonstrates each instrument, and then each student gets a chance to try them all.

Instrument Building

Each student builds a "milk carton guitar", that when finished during one class period, they will have an instrument that they can take home & play.

Tunes for Spoons

Mark will teach everyone how to hold & play the spoons. Anyone can do it!  Mark provides spoons for everyone.

Traditional American Country Dance

Fun American dances for all ages. These dances like the "Virginia Reel", “Patty Cake Polka", and “Cotton Eyed Joe” are fun & easy to learn.

Songwriting

Kids learn about rhyme schemes, meter, and song construction. Then they write a “blues” song, and perform it by the end of one class.

Communities

Family Show

A fun & interactive program for families with young kids. Great sing alongs on a variety of instruments, learn to play the spoons, traditional American dance, and everyone can try out all the instruments.

Summer Camp Shows & Activities

Great interactive programs for large groups, and hands on workshops for smaller ones including trying all the instruments, country dancing, and instrument building.

Patriotic Show
