Happy Birthday Pete Seeger.
I'm pictured here performing with Pete, Peter Yarrow & Mary Travers (of Peter, Paul & Mary), and Steve & Tom Chapin at the "Harry Chapin Memorial Concert" at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in the early 80's. A highlight of my life that's for sure.
Getting in some great sailing this summer. Here on the "Au Revoir" on the Hudson today.
My song "I'll Remember Harry" was just featured on the BBC during the opening of a tribute to Harry Chapin. Paste the link below into your browser to listen to the program. The song comes on at 1:04:45 into this recording. Hearing Harry's voice as my song was playing was a real honor. The piece features Harry's songs as well as interviews with Harry & Tom Chapin. Worth a listen.
Finished my summer sailing class, and crewed on a J80 in a race on the Hudson. Having a great time sailing on the Hudson, and making new friends in the sailing community.
Here's the chorus lyrics to some of the songs for the Ithaca Festival Show if you want to sing along.

My wife Terry & I are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We met in college in 1976. We became very good friends, and in fact were best friends for 20 years before our marriage.
Today is Pete Seeger's Birthday. Anyone who has seriously attempted to play folk music inevitably runs into Pete's body of work. I have learned many of his songs over the years, and his demand for audience interaction has become a cornerstone of my performances as well. I got to know him a bit over my years as a performer, and was honored with his interest in me, as well as his advice for the future. Thank you Pete.
Second live show of the year. Thanks to Ridgefield Park for bringing me back for their Earth Fair. A beautiful day to be outdoors performing music for a live (socially distanced & masked) audience. Many more live shows are booked for the coming months. Check my Tour Schedule for a show near you.
